Baseball Recap: Volunteer Takes a Loss

Volunteer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Greeneville Greene Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greene Devils this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss back in March.

Volunteer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Greeneville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Coming up, Volunteer will face off against Claiborne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greeneville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Oak Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
