Football Recap: Deforest Falls to Brookfield Central in First Game of Season

DeForest had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 36-13 to the Brookfield Central Lancers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

AJ Seymour had an outrageously good game for Brookfield Central as he rushed for 144 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes. Seymour's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards.

Looking ahead, DeForest will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Reedsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookfield Central, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
