Basketball Recap: Brody Telitz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brady over Arthur County

Brady was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arthur County Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since December 9, 2023.

Brady lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brody Telitz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Telitz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Miller, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Brady's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Arthur County, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing South Loup the next time they take the court. Brady will head out to face South Loup on Saturday, while Arthur County will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
