Basketball Recap: Ada Falls Despite Big Games from Miilan Riley and Caron Richardson

Ada suffered their closest loss since January 18th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Dickson Comets by a score of 47-45. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ada's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caron Richardson, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points, and Miilan Riley, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds gave Riley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Boyles, who had six points.

Ada's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Dickson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Ada will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dickson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crooked Oak at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
