Volleyball Game Preview: Ceres Bulldogs vs. Beyer Patriots + How To Watch

Ceres hasn't had much luck against Beyer recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Ceres after they put the first set on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Grace Davis by a score of 3-2. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-0 in the first set.

Ceres started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 0-25, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Beyer beat Pacheco 3-1 on Wednesday.

Beyer was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 14-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Ceres' loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Beyer, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Everything went Ceres' way against Beyer in their previous matchup back in September, as Ceres made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
