Volleyball Game Preview: Peoria Christian Chargers vs. ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars

Peoria Christian is 1-6 against ROWVA/Williamsfield since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Peoria Christian took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Delavan by a score of 2-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Peoria Christian never let Delavan on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when ROWVA/Williamsfield faced off against Galva on Wednesday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

ROWVA/Williamsfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Peoria Christian, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 15-12.

Peoria Christian couldn't quite get it done against ROWVA/Williamsfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0.
