Baseball Recap: Pine Crest Takes a Loss

Pine Crest and Killian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pine Crest had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 1st.

Pine Crest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Ceritelli, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Pine Crest has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8-2 record this season. As for Killian, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

As of now, neither Pine Crest nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
