Fountain Central's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Fountain Central let Kailey Daugherty and Mallory Massey run wild. Daugherty scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Massey scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That stolen base was Daugherty's first of the season. Patience Bixler was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

The win got Fountain Central back to even at 2-2. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, their record is now 0-2.

Coming up, Fountain Central will head out on the road to face off against Crawfordsville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will host Tipton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
