Baseball Recap: Broughton Comes Up Short

Broughton was the 4-0 winner over Leesville Road when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Broughton Capitals took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leesville Road Pride on Wednesday. The Capitals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Broughton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Carroll, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Broughton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Leesville Road, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

While Broughton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
