On Tuesday Brieanna Winther struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). The performance marked the most strikeouts Winther has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the season, she has an ERA of 5.37 over 14.3 innings pitched.
