Basketball Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

Woodbridge played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Hayfield Hawks, falling 81-35. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hayfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Judy, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. What's more, Judy also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Rodney E. Carmichael Ii, who posted ten points and four steals.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Woodbridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-52 loss against Glen Allen on the 7th. As for Hayfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-52 win against South Lakes on the 10th.
