Football Recap: Murray County Indians vs. Coahulla Creek Colts
Friday just wasn't the day for Murray County's offense. They were beaten by the Coahulla Creek Colts 36-0 on Friday. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.
Coahulla Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Douglas out in front who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Waelyn Baliles, who rushed for 93 yards on only ten carries.
Murray County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Coahulla Creek, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rockmart at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. As for Coahulla Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coahulla Creek is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
