Basketball Recap: Clayton-Bradley Academy Piles Up the Points Against Temple Baptist Academy

Clayton-Bradley Academy won against Berean Christian last Friday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders 61-21. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Blazers this season.

Clayton-Bradley Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mia Adkins out in front who posted 19 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Clayton-Bradley Academy is 2-1 when Adkins posts five or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Bault, who had 20 points along with six boards and five assists.

Adkins wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Clayton-Bradley Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Clayton-Bradley Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Temple Baptist Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Clayton-Bradley Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
