Winston came up big in Bessemer Academy's 59-34 win
Monroe Academy had no answer to Johnathan Winston on Friday as he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As if that's not impressive enough, the match was his fourth in a row with two or more steals. For the season, Winston has averaged 13.8 points, 1.7 blocks, and 2.2 steals per match.
Winston and Bessemer Academy will head out on the road to challenge Morgan Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winston will face off against Aidan Barnes, Morgan Academy's star small forward. Will Winston turn in another gem to overcome Bessemer Academy? We'll have our answer very soon.
