Volleyball Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Hopewell Blue Devils lost 3-0 to the Colonial Heights Colonials on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-5, 25-20.

Leading Colonial Heights to victory were Avery Hurley and Amelia Howison. Hurley had 15 aces and one assist, while Howison had five aces. Those 15 aces gave Hurley a new career-high. Desaray Johnson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Colonial Heights, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hopewell will face off against rival Meadowbrook at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colonial Heights is set to take on their familiar foe Matoaca at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
