Volleyball Recap: Hauser Jets vs. Waldron Mohawks
Hauser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Waldron Mohawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
Hauser actually scored more points across those four sets (90-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 14-25, 25-23.
Kaidenze Shoaf paced Hauser's offense, picking up 12 kills. Shoaf got some help from Leah Manley and her 31 assists.
Waldron's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Lindsey, who had 29 digs, nine kills, and two aces. That's the most kills Lindsey has posted since back in October of 2024. Lauren Strehle was another key player, getting eight aces and six digs.
Hauser's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Waldron, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.
Hauser has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Southwestern on the 23rd. As for Waldron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against South Decatur on the 23rd.
