Basketball Game Preview: St. David Tigers vs. Joseph City Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the St. David Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Joseph City Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. David will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

St. David is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 38-29 win over Rock Point.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Joseph City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-16 victory over Salome on Friday.

Joseph City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.4 points over those games. St. David pushed their record up to 21-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

St. David was able to grind out a solid victory over Joseph City in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 49-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. David since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
