Baseball Game Preview: Wolfe County Wolves vs. Madison Southern Eagles

The Wolfe County Wolves will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Madison Southern Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Madison Southern took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wolfe County, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Wolfe County got the win against Leslie County by a conclusive 10-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Wolfe County let Brayden Wilson and Landon McWhorter run wild. Wilson scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while McWhorter went 2-for-4 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Hollon, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Madison Southern came up short against Garrard County on Wednesday, falling 16-5. The Eagles have struggled against the Golden Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Wolfe County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Madison Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
