Recap: Centennial Coyotes vs. Ironwood Eagles
The Centennial Coyotes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Ironwood, posting a 52-22 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Centennial has managed all season.
Akasha Prpich was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Centennial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleia Young, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Ironwood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Centennial will head out on the road to face off against Kellis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ironwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
