Kolbe-Cathedral extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Angel Gomez. Everything went the Cougars' way against the Civic Leadership Eagles on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Gomez, who had 23 digs and three aces. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 37 times he's played.

Kolbe-Cathedral never let Civic Leadership on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-20.

Kolbe-Cathedral is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Civic Leadership, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Kolbe-Cathedral will venture away from home to square off against Masuk at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Civic Leadership does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
