Christ the Cornerstone Academy has gone a perfect 4-0 against Antioch Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Defenders will welcome the Gators at 5:30 p.m. Christ the Cornerstone Academy's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Antioch Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Cape Fear Christian Academy on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The match marked the Defenders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Hogan, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Miken Concepcion also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antioch Christian Academy). They came out on top against Sandhills Classical Christian by a score of 14-11 on Friday.

The win got Antioch Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
