Basketball Recap: Lake Washington Comes Up Short

Lake Washington lost against Mount Si back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lake Washington Kangaroos fell 60-53 to the Mount Si Wildcats.

Mount Si's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Bonnofsky led the charge by putting up 18 points. Those 18 points gave Bonnofsky a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drenden Knaevelsrud, who posted 15 points.

Lake Washington's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Mount Si, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Coming up, Lake Washington is taking a road trip to take on Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Si, they will host Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Arlington sitting on nine straight wins and Mount Si on four.
