Baseball Recap: Paris Takes a Loss

Paris extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 8-13. They lost 12-6 to the Bourbon County Colonels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 on Monday.

As for Bourbon County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9. The result was nothing new for the Colonels, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Bourbon County's part, they got a big performance out of Connor Buckler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Buckler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Brown, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Paris will be playing in front of their home fans against Frankfort Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bourbon County, they will head out on the road to square off against Nicholas County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
