Ironwood is 8-0 against Kellis since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Ironwood Eagles will head out to challenge the Kellis Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Ironwood fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Desert Vista on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-2 to the Thunder.

Meanwhile, Kellis managed to keep up with Sierra Linda until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Kellis came up short against Sierra Linda, falling 8-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Kellis, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Ironwood took their win against Kellis in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ironwood since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
