Basketball Recap: Cohen Glenn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pueblo County over Mullen

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pueblo County can now relate to. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mullen Mustangs on Tuesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cohen Glenn, who shot 56% from the field en route to 13 points and six boards. Those 13 points gave Glenn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harley Harding, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Mullen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Medina out in front who went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points and eight steals. Medina has become a key player for Mullen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 7-14 otherwise. Grayson Bauer was another key player, shooting 46% from the field on his way to 23 points.

Pueblo County's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Mullen, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14 record.

Pueblo County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mullen, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-46 defeat against Standley Lake on the 28th.
