Softball Recap: Uintah Takes Down Ranked Timpanogos

Uintah faced Timpanogos in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Utes blew past the Timberwolves 11-1. The Utes haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lynlee Hall spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Rylee Miller was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Kayla Olson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Uintah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timpanogos only posted a batting average of .111.

Uintah's record is now 15-6. As for Timpanogos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Uintah will venture away from home to square off against Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Utes will need to watch out since the Thunder have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Timpanogos, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sky View at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
