Porter Whiting, Altamont's leader in steals on the season, led the team again on Saturday. Whiting turned in his biggest game of the season, putting up nine points along with seven boards and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Whiting and Altamont will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. The Longhorns had to take a loss when they last met the Eagles, but Whiting had little to do with the loss: he posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.
