Baseball Game Preview: Fulton Steamers vs. Orion Chargers

The Fulton Steamers will face off against the Orion Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Fulton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Fulton didn't have quite enough to beat East Dubuque and fell 7-6. The loss continues a trend for the Steamers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Orion sidestepped Rockridge for a 4-3 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted against the Rockets since March 28, 2022.

Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Orion, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Fulton skirted past Orion 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will the Steamers repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
