Recap: Viewmont Vikings vs. Box Elder Bees

The Viewmont Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 73-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Box Elder. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Viewmont's loss came despite strong showings from Drez Jensen and Max Larsen. Jensen scored 15 points, while Larsen scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larsen has scored all season. Carson Tovey was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Box Elder's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Isaacson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Isaacson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Wilkinson, who scored 22 points.

Viewmont bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Box Elder, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-8.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Northridge the next time they take the court. Box Elder will head out to face Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Viewmont will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
