Soccer Game Preview: University vs. Palisades

The University Wildcats will face off against the Palisades Dolphins at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when University challenged Fairfax on Friday. University fell just short of Fairfax by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 668th, while the Lions are ranked 302nd).

Meanwhile, Palisades didn't have quite enough to beat Venice on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 16-3-2. As for University, they now have a losing record at 3-4-6.
