Basketball Game Preview: Paden City Wildcats vs. Heritage Christian Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Paden City Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Heritage Christian Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paden City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Paden City turned things around against Hundred on Monday. They walked away with a 40-33 victory over the Hornets. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Paden City can attribute much of their success to Ashton Wade, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Kimberly Burch, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Wade has scored at least a third of Paden City's points.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch back in January as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Victory Baptist Academy 68-17. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Paden City, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Paden City came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 38-35. Does Paden City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Heritage Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
