Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elyria Catholic). They breezed past the St. Martin de Porres Lions to the tune of 80-9 on Saturday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Lions are ranked 765th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elyria Catholic pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for St. Martin de Porres, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
