Recap: Diboll Lumberjacks vs. Central Heights Blue Devils

The Diboll Lumberjacks entered their tilt with the Central Heights Blue Devils with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Diboll secured a 45-39 W over Central Heights on Tuesday. For Diboll, this counts as revenge for the 52-37 defeat Central Heights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Diboll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jadarian Kennerew led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kennerew is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Latavian Forney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

Diboll's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Central Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diboll's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pollok Central at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Pollok Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Central Heights, they will head out on the road to challenge Woodville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
