Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Cougars vs. Nolensville Knights

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Nolensville. Centennial will be playing at home against Nolensville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Centennial came up short against Nolensville and fell 9-6. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Centennial got a good showing from Nicholas Changas, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Changas a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Eli Wells made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Charles Corbett was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The win (which was Nolensville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
