Landon Ward Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Willcox got the W thanks in part to Landon Ward playing the best football he has all season. Ward made 11 total tackles and defended two passes. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (105.9) per game. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.

For the season, Ward has averaged 5.1 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 51.29 rushing yards per game.

Delon Harrison Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Delon Harrison posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made four total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 54 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Tanque Verde and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Harrison and Tanque Verde will venture away from home to challenge Bisbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lopez Made His Presence Known in Bisbee's 47-20 Victory

Sebastian Lopez's big game helped extend Bisbee's winning streak to four on Friday. Nobody could stop Lopez as he threw for 371 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards.

Unfortunately for Palo Verde, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Lopez. Lopez rushed for 153 yards and six touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes the last time he and the Titans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Ismael Cuevas Turns in Season-Best Performance

Willcox was led to victory by Ismael Cuevas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cuevas made 19 total tackles.

This season, Cuevas has averaged 9.7 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 0.14 receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 3.71 receiving yards.

Bryceton Meyer's Big Game Leads Bisbee over Palo Verde

The second Bisbee player making an appearance here is Bryceton Meyer, and for good reason. He rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Unfortunately for Palo Verde, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Meyer. Meyer rushed for 341 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 21.3 yards per carry the last time he and the Titans duked it out back in October of 2023.
