Baseball Recap: University Prep Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

University Prep waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Yreka Miners by a score of 8-5. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly three runs.

Waylon Stripling was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler White, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

University Prep's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Yreka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

University Prep will face off against Vista del Lago at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Yreka, they will take on Wheatland at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
