Lake Highland Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks as they made off with a 42-19 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Lake Highland Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eddie Bohne, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, and also picked up 99 receiving yards and one TD. Bohne also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Will Wankelman was another key player, having thrown for 265 yards and four touchdowns.

Lake Highland Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bohne and Charlie Newman. Gavin Wallis was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Lake Highland Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Lake Highland Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-14 loss against Mount Dora on the 26th. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-13 victory against Geneva on the 26th.
