Basketball Recap: Indian Springs Finds Playoff Glory Versus Tonopah

It's playoff time, and Indian Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Tonopah Muckers with a 41-36 win on Friday. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Muckers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Clay, who posted 18 points. Clay continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karmyn Guerino, who earned 12 points.

Despite the loss, Tonopah still got an impressive performance from Trinity Blackburn, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Indian Springs' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Tonopah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Indian Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-32 loss against Round Mountain on the 15th. Tonopah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
