Football Game Preview: Milby Buffs vs. Spring Woods Tigers + Official Tickets

The Milby Buffs will head out on the road to square off against the Spring Woods Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Milby came into this matchup off a tough 26-point defeat back in October. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Sterling by a score of 27-24 last Friday. The Buffs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Artavion Davis, who picked up 182 receiving yards and three TDs. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 127 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Gutierrez, who threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Spring Woods hadn't done well against Sterling recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 22-13.

Spring Woods' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Milby, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Milby took their win against Spring Woods in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 51-28 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
