Basketball Recap: Dwight Takes a Loss

Dwight was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 56-40 bruising from the Roanoke-Benson Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 55-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Dwight's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-10. As for Roanoke-Benson, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Dwight will welcome Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roanoke-Benson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-47 victory against Flanagan-Cornell on the 11th.
