Recap: Castlemont Knights vs. Oakland Wildcats

Sadly, the Castlemont Knights are still looking for their first win of the season after 11 matchups. They had to suffer through a rough 100-15 loss at the hands of Oakland. Castlemont has not had much luck with Oakland recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Oakland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Da'sean Armstrong, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Armstrong has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Couraji West, who scored 17 points.

Castlemont dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.3 points per game. As for Oakland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-6.

Castlemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakland, they will head out on the road to square off against Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Oakland Tech likes a good challenge.
