Volleyball Recap: Collins Family Takes a Loss

If Collins Family was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East College Prep last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars fell just short of the ESAT Grizzlies by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Collins Family couldn't get the win, but they sure gave ESAT a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 19-25, 14-25, 25-8, 15-10.

Collins Family dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for ESAT, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Collins Family will challenge rival Alliance Bloomfield at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, ESAT is set to face off against their familiar foe Academia Avance at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
