League recap: Jones breaks off league-leading run for McKinney North

4A Region II District 13 recap September 10, 2013

Ronald Jones of McKinney North ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Region II District 13 this season against Prosper last week. Jones ran for 83 yards on the play and finished with 228 on the day as his team lost to the Eagles.

Greenville lost to The Colony 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Lovejoy's dynamic duo of Bowman Sells and Justice Luce proved to be unstoppable against Forney, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sells threw for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns and Luce had 123 yards receiving. Dan Sefcik helped Lovejoy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 71 yards.

The Leopards' dynamic duo of Sells and Luce proved tough for the Jackrabbits to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Sells put up the best numbers through the air as Lovejoy defeated Forney.

Luce was the best wideout in the league this week as Matt Green's team beat Kevin Rush's team.

Jones was a force in the backfield as McKinney North fell to Prosper.

Jones was the best running back in the league this week. Ben Dutze also contributed to the rushing game with 81 yards on the ground.

He went 13-16 with 1 interceptions.

The Leopards' Sells and Luce have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region II District 13 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Sells has thrown for 613 yards this season, while Luce has 9 catches for 217 yards. Mike Fecci's team's Jones leads the league in rushing yards with 442.

The Bulldogs led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Bulldogs.
