Football Recap: Hawthorne Victorious

There's no place like home for Hawthorne, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They slipped by the Gainesville Hurricanes 26-25 on Friday. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Demya Adams threw for 82 yards on eight of 13 attempts. Montinique Williams was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Hawthorne's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Gainesville, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hawthorne has already played their next game, a 33-26 win against North Marion on the 8th. Gainesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
