Football Recap: Cashion's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Cashion was riding high fresh off their 42-7 takedown of Watonga last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 49-28 to the Hooker Bulldogs on Friday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Hooker was led to victory by Keilan Robinson and Justin Palacios. Robinson rushed for 207 yards and six scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, while Palacios rushed for 259 yards and one TD while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Palacios is now averaging an impressive 119.7 rushing yards per game.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cashion fell to 5-1. As for Hooker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cashion is set to face off against their familiar foe Crescent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hooker will square off against rival Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
