Volleyball Recap: Barnesville Falls to River in First Game of Season

Barnesville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the River Pilots on Monday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their meetings with the Pilots: they've now lost three in a row.

While Barnesville ultimately came up short, they really made River work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-23.

Looking ahead, Barnesville will be playing at home against Shenandoah at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Shamrocks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for River, they will venture away from home to face off against Bellaire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
