Softball Recap: Osseo Drops Season-High Score on Park Center

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Osseo). They blew past the Park Center Pirates 29-2 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Orioles with their most commanding win of the season.

Kahtya Pilsner was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abi Sankey, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.

Osseo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 10.2.

The victory made it two in a row for Osseo and bumps their season record up to 4-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Park Center, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

As of now, neither Osseo nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
