Soccer Recap: Poteet's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Poteet had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Molina Jaguars a 2-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for Poteet as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Yaretzi Munoz and Bailey Palacio scored both of Poteet's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Poteet's win bumped their record up to 14-4-3. As for Molina, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2.

Coming up, Poteet will face off against Belton on Monday. Belton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Poteet surely won't give up without a fight. Molina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
