It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Versailles had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Greeneview Rams by a score of 5-0. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on 14 straight.

The result came thanks to Chase Monnin's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Deland, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ben Subler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Versailles' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Greeneview, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

As of now, neither Versailles nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
