Baseball Recap: Dugger Union Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Dugger Union was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They came up short against the Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine Wildcats, falling 13-1. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Dugger Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dugger Union will challenge Evansville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they will face off against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
